Dinner Club Signup: SAIL launched a Social Dinner Club in April, a year ago, to offer a new activity for its members. We think it has been a success having had 40 people in six groups that have met monthly atone of the many restaurants in Shepherdstown. We know how important it is to meet new people and to support our local businesses to help sustain a vibrant, thriving downtown.

We are setting up new groups that will start in April. If you would like to participate please contact, by March 24, Deb Tucker (debmtucker@gmail.com) and copy Carolee (carolee27@yahoo.com).

The Jack and Martha Young Community Service Award

SAIL has selected Tabitha Johnston and The Shepherdstown Chronicle for the 2023 Jack and Martha Young Community Service Award.  This annual award recognizes the accomplishments of an individual and organization that has furthered SAIL's mission during the past year. We have found Tabitha to be a creative and enthusiastic editor of the newspaper. Under her leadership the Chronicle has been an outstanding example of community outreach with its offering of stimulating stories and special coverage of people, issues, and events in the greater Shepherdstown area.
