National Council on Aging explains the most common scams against older adults, including the top 5 financials scams.  They also have a good introduction explaining why older persons are targeted.

 

Consumer Financial Protection Bureau Office for Older Americans provides information focused on scam education, including a page on elder financial abuse.  While the primary audience is professionals serving older adults, much of it is relevant to the older consumer as well.
